Dear all

INGENIOUS 2007 - 2nd round announcement and Event

Ingenious - engaging citizens; engaging engineers is the Royal Academy
of Engineering's public engagement grants scheme. The aim is to provide
funding for projects that enable engineers to enhance their public
engagement skills, consider the societal implications of their work and
take part in debate with the public on engineering and its impact on
society.

The next application deadline for the second round of Ingenious is 30
November 2007 (for further details: http://www.raeng.org.uk/engagement).

The Ingenious 2007 event will take place on 24 October 2007 at the
Academy's new location - Carlton House Terrace (London). This event is
open to all potential applicants, current Ingenious awardees and those
interested in public engagement with science, technology and
engineering.

The programme includes:

running deliberative-type events)
- Opportunity to find out more about current Ingenious projects
- Further information on the background and context to Ingenious
