Building upon these established strengths, and the introduction of four recently advertised senior posts, the Department plans to establish a multi-disciplinary trans-national research centre as part of an ambitious academic strategy to ensure its continued reputation for research and teaching excellence. We are seeking people who are able to contribute energy, enthusiasm and expertise in supporting these developments. You should have demonstrable experience of teaching at undergraduate level and an interest in contributing to postgraduate provision, including the supervision of research degree candidates. You should be an active researcher with an emerging reputation within a relevant discipline. You should be able to demonstrate administrative capability as well as the capacity to contribute to programme development. You should also have strong communication skills and sympathy for working in a bi-lingual environment. Above all, you should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and an ability to enhance the learning, teaching and research environment of the Department.
