Brilliant that Cycling in London detail

 

I can remember being taught how to stand a bike up with one pedal on the kerb.  Then we had well maintained roads and the kerbs in Whin (Volcanic - Basalt) or Granite were square and evenly set at the road edge which was generally free from parked cars, as these when parked were parked off the street.  I wonder how many of the younger generations actually know how to stsnd a bike up using the pedal and the kerb edge.
