The Department of Geography, rated 5* in the 2001 RAE, wishes to recruit a new member of staff to strengthen both its teaching and research.

You are invited to apply for this position if you wish to work on Geography courses that support the Environment, Development and International Studies (EDIS) Programme, both on the production of new distance teaching materials and on the presentation of existing courses. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the research efforts of the Department, as someone who can demonstrate a research potential of high quality.

You will have an active and developing research profile and experience of teaching at higher education level. You should have a strong commitment to collaborative ways of working and to developing the synergy between research and teaching as well as enthusiasm for lively intellectual discussion and debate.
