Workshop 3: Sharing and Discussing Work-in-Progress

Date: Monday 12th November

Time: 10am-4pm

Venue: Sunley and Drayson Rooms, Royal Geographical Society, Kensington Gore, London, SW7 2AR, UK

The aim of the third workshop in this current series is to provide an opportunity to share and discuss our work in progress, in the form of research papers, journal articles or thesis chapters. The workshop is open to anyone with an interest in children, youth and families who wishes to share their work in a supportive environment, receive feedback and constructive comments on their own work, and provide the same to others. This workshop may be particularly useful for postgraduates and early career researchers.

If you would like to attend the workshop you will need to provide a piece of work-in-progress by 19th October 2007, which will then be circulated to the other workshop participants so that there is time to read each other’s work. It is anticipated that we will have two groups of no more than ten people so that everyone has a chance to discuss their work and receive feedback.

Please note that numbers are limited and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please complete the attached registration form (will also be available at http://www.gcyf.org.uk/events.html) and e-mail it to Dr. Naomi Bushin ([log in to unmask]) by 5th October 2007.

Payments (postgrad/unwaged free, £15 full fee) should be made on the day. Tea/coffee will be provided, please bring your own lunch. There are five travel bursaries of £25 each for postgraduate students which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
