Dear Colleague

Liverpool John Moores University will be hosting a network event to
celebrate achievements and contributions from black and minority ethnic
communities, as part of Black History Month.

The event will bring together a range of speakers across public, private
and higher education sectors to reflect on ‘Black Voices in Public Life’.
It will also be an opportunity to highlight the enriched, exciting and
successful ways that communities can work together across the sectors.

The event is free and lunch will be provided, and will take place on
Thursday 25th October 2007, from 10am – 3pm in the Roscoe Boardroom, 2
Rodney Street (Egerton Court), Liverpool.

The celebrated black historian Ray Costello will be giving a talk, as well
as speakers from:

•	Commission for Equality & Human Rights (CEHR)
•	Aim Higher
•	Merseyside Black Police Association
•	Liverpool Black History Month Group

For more information and booking details see the attached event programme.

Hope to see you there.
