Dear Colleagues,

Please see the message below from the British Association:

The Partnerships for Public Engagement (PPE) Award scheme, run by the
Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), is a great
opportunity for researchers to promote their work and engage in dialogue
with the public about science and engineering. The BA is running a series
of regional workshops, on behalf of EPSRC, to make the application process
as straightforward as possible. (For eligibility see below.)

These FREE workshops are for any individual who may be interested in
applying for a PPE award some time in the future. Participants will meet
current awardees to share good practice, hear about individual projects and
pick up tips about the application process. Collaborative projects are
encouraged and suggestions for further public engagement work will be
provided.

Schedule of workshops (all 10:30-18:00)

Oxford - Science Oxford - 22 November 2007

London - Dana Centre - 24 January 2008

Manchester - Manchester Museum - 13 February 2008

Glasgow - Glasgow Science Centre - 19 March 2008
