1. MeCCSA 2008 Annual Conference Deadline - 30th Sept
The deadline for the Practice Section (Mal)Content panel has now passed, and the panel will be
announced after it has been peer-reviewed by the conference c'ttee after the 30th Sept.

However, if you have a presentation it's not too late to submit: the main conference is still
accepting papers until the 30th Sept - so practice people make sure you submit your work!!
Abstracts of papers, presentations of practice and posters, no longer than 250 words, should be
sent to [log in to unmask] by 30 September 2007 in order for peer review to take place.
See also http://www.meccsa.org.uk/conference.

2. MeCCSA Skillset Accreditation Survey
MeCCSA are trying to gather as much information as possible about the Skillset Accreditation
process. If you have not already done so, I would be grateful you could contact me at
[log in to unmask] with "Skillset" in the subject, if your institution is in the process of
applying for Skillset accreditation or Academy status, with any useful information about the
application and feedback process, whether you have been approved, rejected, invited to resubmit
and any thoughts you have on the experience. Any information would be most appreciated.

3. URGENT - Skillset London Education Forum Meeting
Skillset are hosting a forum for Higher Education in London and it would be good to get as many
MeCCSA / London-based institutions as possible along to engage with the process. Thursday 27

4. UK Screen Heritage Network - online survey
The UK Screen Heritage Network (N.B. this is a different from the BFI's UK Screen Heritage Strategy)
are conducting an online survey in order to build a national directory of moving image and
screen-related artefacts, from technology - camera, lighting, projectors, sound and video
equipment - to scripts, designs, photographs, props, memorabilia and even buildings. The
Network was formed by a group of museums, archives, broadcasters, practitioners and academic
institutions under the auspices of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) to advance
the concept of screen heritage, encourage its preservation and promote wider access. The survey
form and further information can be found at: http://screenheritage.wordpress.com or for more
