Hello, This is a really basic question. There have been some questions at my lab about the vbm process pipeline. These may just be confusions left over from the switch from the optimized pipeline to the spm5 pipeline. I'm just learning the vbm process and want to make sure I've got it down. Do I modulate, normalize, and smooth the actual gray matter segmentations? Or are the outputs from the segment function a probability mask that I multiply times my original images to get segmented images? I tried things the first way and all my values were between 0 and 1 which doesn't seem quite right. Thanks for your patience. I know this is really quite basic. Ben
