The DSE policy at our main contract states that if employees requires glasses for intermediate vision they will pay the cost of basis intermediate lenses and frames at a cost of £32.00, or that this can be used as payment of the intermediate distance part of a vari / bifocal prescription lens. The employee pays and then reclaims the £32.00 when they provide evidence of need for intermediate lenses ie a copy of their prescription
Hope this helps

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Contribution to the cost of spectacles for DSE work only

Hello to everyone

Does anyone have DSE Users who require glasses specifically for DSE use?

If so, what financial contribution does your organization make (if any) to the cost. What does your DSE policy state?

Best wishes

Carol
