Studentship) Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies £21,682 - £24,403 (Pro Rata) The Department invites applications for a Postgraduate Research Assistant to work alongside Professor Adrian Kear assisting with his research in the areas Avant-Garde European Theatre; performance ethics; critical theory, philosophy and psychoanalysis. As well as providing general organisational support for Professor Kear and facilitating his research and other relevant activity, you will be pursuing doctoral research of your own. Candidates for this post will also be required to submit a full research proposal leading to registration for a PhD in an area congruent with Professor Kear's research interests. The PhD will be supervised by Professor Kear and co-supervised by either Professor Mike Pearson or Dr Heike Pearson-Roms. You will be qualified to Masters level, have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills. Experience of working in a HE environment would be advantageous. The post is available for a fixed term of 3 years in the first instance (from 1 September 2007). Progress towards completion and submission of the PhD will be reviewed on a regular basis as part of the University's research degrees monitoring process.
