What are the contents of /opt/glite/etc/vomses? For Atlas we have:

#  ls -als /opt/glite/etc/vomses | grep atlas
8 -rw-r--r--   1 root root   93 Aug  8 15:31 atlas-lcg-voms.cern.ch
8 -rw-r--r--   1 root root   85 Aug  8 15:31 atlas-voms.cern.ch

and authentication works with lcg-voms.cern.ch:15001

By the way, /opt/glite/yaim/functions/config_vomses did not seem to work properly out of the box, failing to populate /opt/glite/etc/vomses and throwing an INFO while configuring with YAIM.

For me, instead, edg-job-submit does not work:

# edg-job-submit jobtest.jdl
Traceback (most recent call last):

    import UIchecks
  File "/opt/edg/bin/UIchecks.py", line 22, in ?
    from edg_wl_userinterface_common_AdWrapper import AdWrapper

    import _edg_wl_userinterface_common_AdWrapper
ImportError: /opt/edg/lib/_edg_wl_userinterface_common_AdWrapper.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I've used the following repos:
http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/EGEE/gLite/R3.1/glite-UI/sl4/i386/
http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/LCG-CAs/current
http://mirrors.dotsrc.org/jpackage/1.7/generic/free/ -->> for jpackage1.7 (did not like repo coming with standard install of SLC4 which is kind of annoying)

cheers,
Gianfranco

Hi *,

has anybody tried to install the gLite UI on a RHEL4/64bit System?

I have found some problems doing so:

* full 32bit compatibility environment installed
* installed glite-UI using these repos:

Working with the edg-* group of commands works fine (like edg-job-submit
[only with option --old], edg-job-status, edg-job-get-output).

But voms-proxy-init fails. I get the following output and then the
command hangs forever:

I suspect that something with the communication with the VOMS server
goes wrong, possibly openssl?

With "tcpdump host voms.cern.ch" I find that on a working glite-UI
(gLite 3.0, SLC 3) there is a total of 51 TCP/IP packets being exchanged
while obtaining a voms-proxy.

On the 64bit system I observe only 34 TCP/IP packets being exchanged.

Does anybody have an idea what might go wrong?

Thanks for any help,

    David
