I discovered recently this excellent blog on "strange maps":  http://strangemaps.wordpress.com.  It contains scores of obscure and certainly entertaining maps, some of which I am familiar and others I've never before come across.

 

My apologies if someone else in this illustrious e-gathering has already mentioned the existence of this blog.
