A friday afternoon teaser.... A little while ago we were asked to look at a small 19th Century collection of fossils of unknown history, mostly from southern Britain. The fossils were of reasonable quality, and included: Trigonia clavellata Cor. Ool. Weymouth Trigonia gibbosa Portland Ool. Tisbury Trigonia costata Inf. Oolite Chelt'nm They were well labelled, mostly in one rather characteristic handwritting: To date, we have been unable to identify this handwriting from the Survey collections. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks, Mike Howe _____________________________ Dr Mike Howe Chief Curator British Geological Survey Email:[log in to unmask] Tel: 0115 9363105 Fax: 0115 9363200 www.bgs.ac.uk ______________________________ *************************************************************************************************************** This message (and any attachments) is for the recipient only.
