A friday afternoon teaser....

A little while ago we were asked to look at a small 19th Century collection of fossils of unknown history, mostly from southern Britain. The fossils were of reasonable quality, and included:

Trigonia clavellata Cor. Ool. Weymouth
Trigonia gibbosa Portland Ool. Tisbury
Trigonia costata Inf. Oolite Chelt'nm

They were well labelled, mostly in one rather characteristic handwritting:

To date, we have been unable to identify this handwriting from the Survey collections. Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks,

Mike Howe
