No - it won't happen automatically.I think your excellent bedpost times were a combination of a beefy machine and much fewer directions (bedpost takes a lot longer with more directions). You should be able to parallelise it, and make it happen 4x as fast!TOn 22 Aug 2007, at 23:31, Dianne Patterson wrote:Does this mean it won't happen automatically on a mac? You can follow the same instructions except use 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 for your
machines. I setup a quad core CPU this way (that one had four 127s).
Peace,
Matt.

Subject: [FSL] bedpostx parallel processing
Hi everyone,
I am running bedpostx on a dual processor machine. I have read the
"Parallelising bedpost" section of the help, but this gives the instructions
for splitting up jobs between multiple machines with each having multiple
processors.
Will bedpostx automatically send to both processors or do I need to manually
set this up? If I need to do this manually, how can I find out what my
machine calls each of its processors (on a mac)?
Thank you!
ted
