Dear all, Thank you very much for your interest and expressions of concern and solidarity regarding the earthquake in Peru occurred two weeks ago. Like I said to many of you, my family was not affected, and generally in Lima, the impact was minor, at least in urban areas. There has been however some areas South of Lima that were severely affected, such as Pisco, Chincha, Ica, in the Coast, and areas in Yauyos, and Huancavelica in the highlands. If you are interested in contributing to the numerous relief efforts from all over the world, you may know that contributions to OXFAM (with crucial help providing clean water and shelter) Save the Children (providing food and shelter for families with small children) and Christian Aid (working directly with grassroots women's organisations in the distribution of help), will find a very good use.
