Are laboratories who support haemodialysis units facilitating the measurement of carnitine and free carnitine in haemodialysis patients who have anaemia which appears to be non EPO responsive? This question may have been asked previously, so apologies if it is a repeat. The purpose is to identify if such patients will benefit from carnitine replacement, and I am just wondering whether it is routine or rare.
All the best,
Helen
