About the conference

Housing is an essential, basic need that can put stability back into the lives of drug and alcohol users, recovering drug and alcohol users and offenders. It is, therefore, important to ensure that sufficient accommodation is accessible for drug and alcohol users and offenders and that appropriate support is provided to help them maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.

Housing Care and Support Journal Aims of the conference

This conference is designed to explore some of the housing needs of drug and alcohol users and the barriers they face, and look at what more can be done to support this vulnerable population. We will hear from key speakers who will share their experiences of housing and drug concerns. A series of workshops will run throughout the day to discuss some of the key issues pertinent to those delivering services for drug users with accommodation needs.
