The cultural framing and public perception of regenerative medicine products

The PhD will explore popular and media framing of stem cells, tissue
engineering and the wider science of regenerative medicine and examine
public/patient attitudes towards tissue engineered products. This project
will be of particular interest to students who have an interest in science
and technology studies and medical sociology, but may also appeal to
students with a background in sociology, health services research or the
biosciences.

A three-year full-time research council funded studentship is available, at
£12,600.00 per annum, plus payment of tuition fees. Students should have at
least a 2.1 undergraduate degree in a relevant subject. Normal Home/EU
student terms and conditions apply.
