Just a reminder to the list that the Mine Tenement Site and excavations will be open for public view during National Archaeology Week. The details are:

'FROM FULLING MILL TO MINE PUMPING ENGINE' - A Series of Open Days

Archaeologists are excavating at their Mine Tenement site in Combe Martin. It has revealed part of the mill pond, a series of massive walls, & buttresses. Excavators will be on-site to explain the work &  visitors will be able to tour the Blacksmith's Shop, small Museum, Engine House remains, & look down Williams Shaft.



Sat. 14th and Sun. 15th, Thurs. 19th and Sat. 21st July from 10 am to 4 pm



Pedestrian Access Only to Mine Tenement from Castle Street, up Comers Lane, left along Bowhay Lane.

Route will be signposted
