To Julie Harrison Could you please give references to articles about auscultation if you have seen that. I am interested because I am updating a midwifery textbook in Sweden and I also think about midwifery in Africa, Uganda, where they don´t use carditocographs during deliveries. We are beginning to forget old knowledge but also get rid of old methods which could be updated with new research. I, for one, shall be most grateful. Some studies have demonstrated that multi count strategies are better for detection of periodic changes in the heart rate and can be plotted on an auscultation chart.
