Ernie Glad you're getting sorted, but be sure there is a difference between a member of the Middle Temple and a resident of the Middle Temple. Are your sources clear about which this is? A herald is not unlikely to be a lawyer, but not necessarily so (good sentence - three negatives in thirteen words!) The Temple would be a convenient residence for a herald in both social and geographical senses. Nick
