Hello

In our Trust, we are just beginning work (in conjunction with the Local Studies Library and the Company Secretary) on some work about the history of the hospital which we will move out of in 2010.  We hope to work with the local Museum to do some oral history, and also use the opportunity to sort out the hospital’s record keeping policies (which the Company Secretary is already leading on).

I would be very interested to hear from any other librarians who have been involved in hospital history activities – especially if there are any large potholes we may be about to fall into…

Thanks

Dorothy

PS Our big PFI hospital reprovision has just been signed and it’s all set to go.  Any communal wisdom on the next part of the process (I’ve been involved in planning for the new library for more than 4 years, but I suspect the rules of the game have just changed!) would be appreciated…
