Hi!
There has been some discussion on Core Content, and Ingrid
has sent this around today:
Hello
again
I'm hoping that this will be my final email on this subject! I spoke to
the N3 helpdesk earlier about the Ovid issues and they have advised that the new
Ovid firewall settings need to be added to the NHS firewall access control list
(ACL) AT YOUR LOCAL TRUST. This is then forwarded on to CfH, and N3 action
it.
From a problem resolution perspective this is not ideal, but I can
see how this is necessary technically.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
NOW.
Contact your local IT service and ask them to update their ACL with
Ovid's new settings which can be found at: http://www.Ovid.com/site/support/firewall.jsp
Your local IT service then need to pass this on to N3.
If you need
any further advice, please contact the N3 helpdesk on: 0800 085 0503
I'm
sorry that we can't report this centrally for you, unfortunately the way the IT
infrastructure is set up means that this is not possible.
Best
wishes
Ingrid

Is anyone else having trouble
accessing Ovid Online the last few days? We keep getting a “NETWORK ERROR
-server may be down, busy, or experiencing other problems”
message
