GETTING THE MOST OUT OF GOOGLE(tm) 20 September 2007, London Everyone's a Google(tm) expert already, right? Wrong. Google is without doubt the information professional's general purpose search engine of choice but many of us simply search by subject terms. This often brings back good results but not always. Are we missing a trick? How much of this is because the information we are looking for doesn't exist and how much of it is because we just don't use Google(tm) effectively - our result is on the 200th page of Google(tm) hits when most of us can't be bothered to look that far. How about using techniques that will bring the most relevant hits to the top of the list? Maybe even get the answers to quick reference enquiries without having to click through to the websites?
