We are seeking to appoint an SMR Assistant to work on the National Trust SMR.

You will assist with the enhancement of the SMR from a wide variety of source materials including archaeological surveys, of properties and landscapes, undertaken throughout
England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
There will also be an opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of the SMR.

You should have a degree in archaeology (or equivalent) or a closely related subject and an understanding of the work of SMRs and archaeological data standards. A broad knowledge of buildings and landscapes at a National level would be advantageous. Good IT skills, a practical experience of computer databases and an understanding of GIS are essential. SMR experience, though also desirable, is not essential.

Membership of the IFA is desirable.
