Prio Researcher Position (PhD scholarship) The International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) invites applications for a three-year, full-time researcher position as a PhD candidate. PRIO was one of the first centres of peace research in the world when it was founded in 1959. Today it is an independent multi-disciplinary research institute with approximately 70 employees. PRIO hosts the Centre for the Study of Civil War (CSCW), Norway's only Centre of Excellence in the social sciences. Two international peer-reviewed journals are edited at PRIO (Journal of Peace Research and Security Dialogue). For more information about the institute, see www.prio.no <http://www.prio.no/> . The academic discipline of the PhD scholarship is open, but the proposed project must fit PRIO's current research profile. Applicants must hold a Master's Degree or equivalent and must write the doctoral thesis in English. The PhD candidate should be able to carry out the project based primarily at PRIO.
