I am in a bit of a quandry. I have been reading Cavell - The World Viewed - looking for the purported influences of the later Wittgenstein in his work, and not only can I not find them, I am finding evidence that his take on Wittgenstein is mysterious indeed to me. Either he is missing something in claiming to be a Wittgenstinian, or I am missing something in my readings of the above.
Would anyone care to point me in the right direction, or otherwise care to weigh in on this issue?
Dan
