TITLE: Biometrician - Veterinary Trials Based in Switzerland 12 month rolling contract Job Summary: The main purpose of the role is to provide high quality statistical support to the Project teams in Veterinary Medicine Clinical Development. Statistical support includes the provision of statistical input to study protocols, development of randomisation and statistical summary and analysis programs, advising on statistical content of study reports and regulatory filing documents. After an initial period, you'll take the role of lead biometrician for one or more projects. Accountabilities/Responsibilities: * Assisting with Biometrics training sessions * Participating in the development of improved global statistical procedures - reviewing and updating Biometrics SOP's and guidelines, validation checks and procedures, and evaluating and implementing improved statistical procedures. * Liaising with colleagues in the US to ensure that a common approach is taken to analysing clinical study data. * Keeping abreast of the relevant biometric advances and recommend changes and new statistical techniques. Essential Skills & Capabilities: You'll have a BSc in applied statistics or related discipline with an MSc being preferred. Your experience to date in applied statistics will have enabled you to develop a good knowledge of basic data analysis methods, and the ability to program in SAS. Statistics with a biological or animal science background would be desirable With an interest in applying statistical ideas in practical situations, you'll also have a general interest in scientific issues and methodology. In addition, you'll possess good communication skills, an ability to work in a regulated environment and be able to work on a number of different projects in parallel.
