Research Assistant in Statistics (part-time)

Salary: £23,560 - £26,520 pro-rata

We would like to appoint a Research Assistant to work in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health within the Division of Epidemiology, Public Health and Primary Care, based at the St Mary's campus, Paddington.

This post offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in Statistics to join a leading group at the cutting edge of developments in epidemiology and biostatistics.  The post is funded as part of the Euratom NOTE consortium. You will be involved in the development and fitting of models of cardiovascular risk to data, taking account of variable genetic background, radiation exposure and various intermediate endpoints.

You will have a first degree and/or a MSc in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent and experience in the use of high level programming language (FORTRAN/C/C++). As part of your appointment you will be expected to register for and complete a PhD under the supervision of Drs Mark Little ([log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> ) and Joanna Tzoulaki ([log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> ).

The post is part-time for 17.5 hours per week and available for 36 months.
