Dear friends, I was reading the various feedbacks from conference participants, and it occurred to me that I know that some of my team from Phoenix House Haga- Norway understand English and can speak it, though it clearly is not the first language or "mother tongue". Recently I was fortunate to meet with members of FICT in Rome, the Italian Federation of Therapeutic Communities, Amongst other things via the translation skills of Silvia Lombardi from CeIS Roma, we were able to establish that the only difficulty between "North" EFTC & "South" EFTC was language. Therefore after reading the feedback from Rosario Abaitua - Proyecto Hombre - Spain, I thought; why not ask all delegates, speakers, etc to take the opportunity to give feedback in your own language? I imagine that between the members in so many different countries that between us, we can translate the information, over time, and as we hope, learn from you all, ways to improve the future conferences. I'm not at all sure if this will be possible, because the X1 EFTC Conference on Rehabilitation and Drug Policy 2007, was excellent. However, there are always lessons to be learned.......the film festival was for example a wonderful idea of creativity, how can we improve on this,? Is it desirable? There are many more topics, we would like to hear your views about, so, if it can help you to provide some insight, in your own language, please do take the time.
