I’ve been googling for IT retention schedules with a particular interest in the reasons for retaining data and documents. I have looked at JISC ICT section and National Archives model information management retention schedules already. I know that software licenses should be kept for 6 years after the license ends which comes under the Limitation Act, and that any disaster recovery and information security documentation comes under BSI Code of Practice (DISC PD 0008:1999).

 

So what I’d like to ask is… am I missing anything?!!! Does anyone know of any other legislation, regulations or codes of practice which may have a bearing on retention of IT documents?
