Lauren

I have a copy of the drug/alcohol policy from my previous employer a
NHS mental health trust it is 15 pages long any use?

This is an extract it may help.

The Trust will assist any employee suffering from alcohol, other drug or
other substances misuse or abuse in the same way as any employee
suffering from any other serious health condition would be assisted. It
will provide support and assistance and, where appropriate, access to
treatment with the aim that the employee's health and well-being is
improved. The goal would be to support the individual's return to an
acceptable level of performance and attendance.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Drugs policy

I'm just updating some corporate policies. Does anyone have a short one
relating to drugs abuse and its affect on work. Also, can we no longer
immediately dismiss someone who is taking illegal substances or abusing
legal ones under gross misconduct or as employers are we obliged to
offer counselling first? Thanks. Lauren
