Hi Jeremy & list

Signing a confidentiality agreement is one way forward. I have worked in one
organisation which provide an on-site gym and fitness trainers, weren't we
lucky. This covers the back of the OHS manager but does not address the
wishes of those to whom the records refer.

There may be clients of an OH service, myself included, who may not wish
their fitness trainer to have access to their OH records. If I became aware
that they had had access to my OH records without my consent I would be very
cross.

Another option: if there are good business reasons for the fitness trainer
to have access to OH records then they could get permission from their
clients to have access to their OH notes as and when the need arises.

What are the views of others?

Anne
