Dear Jeffrey,
Without any specific quote to judge by, I
wonder if the phrase “immersed” in Christendom refers to the baptism of the
converts by immersion. I can’t think of any other context. Living “within the
‘Spiritus Sanctus’” wouldn’t necessarily be described as “immersion”, except
perhaps in the thought and writings of some mystics.
