I have been asked by a consultant to find out the frequency of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the elderly. I can find a lot of information about the PTSD in this group, mainly relating to holocaust survivors and war veterans but nothing statistical about the prevalence of this condition in this age group. I suspect that I'm not going to be able to find specific figures for him. Can anyone help or suggest a source which might have this information?
