Oracle GIS DBA £300-400/day Scotland My client, a well respected Scottish Consultancy requires a specialist Oracle DBA with GIS experience (Oracle 9i). This is an initial 3 month contract, with a high possibility of extension to 6 month. You will be responsible for all DB and System admin for corporate GIS database and will be involved in implementing an exciting new corporate GIS Strategy and Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have proven commercial experience in Oracle DBA and have experience in security/backup/RMAN restoration and disaster recovery. Oracle 9i experience is highly relevant for this position. Any experience of Oracle Spatial, system admin for ArcGIS/ArcIMS and system admin for AutoDesk would also be advantageous. Experience of SyncSOrt Backup Express would also be beneficial.
