Lecturer (A/B) in European Studies Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in European Studies based in the German Department/School of Humanities, beginning 1 September 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful applicant will have a proven record or demonstrable potential as a researcher in contemporary German or comparative politics and/or contemporary German political thought (with a focus on governance or policy fields) and/or contemporary German history; further expertise in any of the following areas may be an advantage: comparative European politics, contemporary European history, twentieth-century German intellectual history. You will be expected to offer suitable courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the German Department and the European Studies Programme. The appointment will be made on the Lecturer Scale A or B, currently £25,334 pa to £29,055 (Lecturer A), £29,991 to £38,449 pa (Lecturer B), plus £2,323 London Allowance pa, depending on qualifications and experience.
