I have neither the time nor the wit to respond in kind to William's hilarious post about big gobs, but the point about actresses increasingly resembling their animated avatars is surely most clearly demonstrated by the incarnation of Lara Croft - Tomb Raider, the ultimate male fantasy figure by Angelina Jolie, the ultimate male fantasy figure.

A propos, is anyone else made uncomfortable by academics (often female) who seek to reclaim as some sort of feminist icon these same male fantasy figures...?
