DISABILITY ADVISER
£28,190 - £32,078 p.a. including LWA
17.5 hours a week (£14,905 - £16,039 pro rata)

DISABILITY SERVICES
The University of Westminster is seeking a 0.5 Disability Adviser to
be based at its Harrow Campus. The post is a one year fixed-term
contract due to possible restructuring of the Disability Services.
The postholder will work as part of the Disability Services team
providing specialist advice to students with disabilities and
prospective students regarding access to the campus, facilities
and individual needs.

You will join a team of two Disability Advisers, two Dyslexia Study
Skills Tutors, two Administrators and the Disability Services Manager.
We also have ten additional Disability Tutors and a designated
Disability Officer in each of four libraries.

You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills
and be able to work with people from a wide variety of
backgrounds, experiences and expectations, demonstrating a
commitment to equality of opportunity.

You will be qualified at degree level with a post-graduate
qualification in Disabilities and at least two years experience of
advising students with disabilities in a Higher Education setting.

You will also have an understanding of a range of disabilities,
with up-to-date knowledge of the Disability Discrimination Act and
its implications for students in Higher Education.
