Test one to 3 for five six

Dear colleagues

(with apologies for cross-posting)

New to ECU’s disability web pages this month is information about a resource produced by the charity Papyrus, which has been designed specifically for HEI staff, containing information about the signs of a young person in distress.  Papyrus plan to make the packs available to HEIs through a nationwide series of seminars.   We’d also like to draw your attention to the Mayor of London’s report on disabled students in London which contains some interesting headlines.

We have included information about a series of recent government initiatives relating to the employment of disabled people, including ‘Employ Ability’ and the Health, Work and Well-being Strategy.

All the relevant links are available through the disability pages of our website: http://www.ecu.ac.uk/guidance/disability/

Finally, the DRC has stated that its new guidance for post-16 education providers will be available in August.  We will draw your attention to that once it appears.

With best wishes for the summer
