Lift, London International Festival of Theatre, is recognised as one of the
world's leading arts festivals. Since 1981 Lift has introduced theatre from
over 60 countries to venues and unusual sites across London.

Lift is currently developing an exciting new archive to showcase 25 years of
international arts.

The Lift Living Archive will present Liftıs history in physical and digital
form. A rich collection of photographs, video and audio recordings,
programmes, posters, notes and diaries will give a unique insight into how a
festival of international theatre is planned and made.

In order to prepare the archive for public access, the Archive Project
Manager and Project Archivist are looking for a team of placements to help
with a range of tasks. There will be variety in the roles and training will
be provided where necessary.

We welcome applications from undergraduates and graduates as well as people
with experience of the informal learning sector, eg. youth arts, community
arts and volunteers.

We are currently accepting applications for 2 rounds of placements to take
place between August 2007 and January 2008. Placements are usually 3 days a
week for 3 months.

The deadline for applications is Monday 16 July 2007.

Application packs are downloadable from
