Apologies if you receive this message more than once

Dear Colleagues

The latest ISSoTL Newsletter is available at www.issotl.org, click “Newsletter,” and then click “Download the current issue (May 2007)” at the very top.

There are several interesting features, including a reflective piece by Randy Bass, the organiser of the 2006 conference, where he addresses the seemingly contrasting dominant themes in the feedback pulling in two different directions – more quality, selectivity, and rigor on the one hand; and more community, collaboration, interactivity, and informality on the other.

There are also articles on the establishment of the National Academy for the Integration of Research and Teaching and Learning in Ireland and the ‘Growth of History SOTL’.

The outline programme for ISSoTL 2007 in Sydney is given along with a reminder to book places before June 1st to obtain the early-bird discount.

If you are a member of ISSoTL and did not receive an email this morning about the newsletter it may be because the message is going into your spam box.  This happened to me a few months ago, since then I have put the email address ([log in to unmask]) in my safe-senders list.

If you are not a member please do consider joining.  It only costs $40US per annum (ie c£20).  For membership details and a long list of benefits, including several discounts on conferences, books and journals see: http://www.issotl.org/join.html.

Best wishes

Mick
