Richard Branson has been added to the most exciting Cheltenham Science Festival line up yet. The self-made millionaire and ultimate entrepreneur will appear on Thursday 7 June at 5.15pm.

In a late addition to the bill, Sir Richard will give a rare public interview to the festival's Guest Director Jonathon Porritt, discussing environmental topics and giving an insight into his fascinating life.

Jonathon is delighted that Richard has chosen to speak at the festival: "It's just great that Richard Branson is coming to the Science Festival. I first worked with Richard on environmental issues back in the 1980s, and now he's up to his eyeballs in them - and really taking the lead - on some of today's most critical issues. So it should be an interesting discussion!"

He joins leading names already signed up for the festival, including Conservative Party leader David Cameron, Robert Winston and Alex James from Blur.
