Can’t spare three days to come to Umbrella 2007?  Then why not come for a day?  A one-day registration really is viable - as well as being value for money. 

Travel to the venue at Hatfield is very easy.  For instance, if you are coming from London, the train journey from Kings Cross takes less than 25 minutes.  Then at Hatfield station there will be a free shuttle bus to Umbrella 2007 - only a 10-minute journey away.  At the end of the day the shuttle bus will return you to the station.

If you come to Umbrella on Friday then you can look forward to:

·       An exhibition of nearly 50 key library suppliers
·       Poster sessions - 27 in all, covering a range of exciting new projects
·       Seminar sessions - you can participate in three sessions from a choice of   eighteen.  If you arrive extra early there is a choice of two breakfast sessions

·       Plenary session with Dr Alex Byrne, President of IFLA and Librarian, University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. He will be will be speaking about Advocacy and Freedom of Information; the challenges facing the library and information profession in the global information world.

·       AGMs - If one of your special interest groups is holding their AGM at Umbrella then why not join in?
