Oracle GIS Consultant/DBA - Scotland / Central Belt - 3-6 Month Contract - Start May/June - £Neg Do you have solid Oracle 9i / spatial skills and are you looking for a challenging new contract? As part of my Clients ongoing work to establish and integrate corporate GIS web and database architectures at many of their customer sites, they are looking to recruit an Oracle GIS Consultant. You will undertake database and system administration activities for the corporate GIS database(s) including the management of spatial databases and to review, update and further develop system documentation as necessary. In addition you will be required to provide appropriate skills transfer. Ideally 2-3 years experience is required. Essential skills include; Oracle 9i with spatial data, Database Administration including security, backup and restore (specifically RMAN) and disaster recovery., ArcSDE database administration, Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server / Server Desirable skills include; Oracle Spatial, ArcGIS/ArcIMS (v9) system administration skills, Autodesk Mapguide (v6) system administration skills, Network administration skills, Novell NDS, SyncSort Backup Express Please contact me ASAP to discuss this opportunity in grater detail.
