Yes, I would agree: ideally there would be a checklist of minimum criteria for the post so that the selection/rejection for interview would be transparent.

It is my understanding that you are only guaranteed an interview if you
meet minimum criteria for the post - the guarantee does not mean that
all people with a disability will be invited to interview irrispective
of the quality of their application form and personal statement.  Hope

I'd be grateful if anyone could suggest how I advise a student whose
query is: Is dyslexia considered to be sufficiently debilitating to
secure in a guaranteed interview when applying for jobs? I have heard it
suggested that only severe dyslexia would be grounds for bringing an
action under the DDA.
