I have to agreee with Sarah on this one. As she says... "[i]ts their landscape, and if they want to change it in ways that people living elsewhere don't like - its their choice. The same is true of any country...". Irish Heritage legislation is in fact just as robust as that in place in most other western European countries. Talk about "ghastly and inappropriate new developments" and whether or not we can have "confidence" in the Irish community to "sort these things out" is fascinating to hear in this post-imperialist age. Perhaps we should invade and make sure that the cheeky blighters are sorting out their heritage properly?
