The MLA is currently consulting on their strategic planning document:
"Blueprint for Excellence". I will be responding on behalf of ARLIS but
I would also encourage individuals and organisations with an interest in
libraries, learning, information and community services to respond
independently.

A Blueprint for Excellence - Public Libraries 2008-2011 - through a
process of consultation Blueprint will set out the next stages of public
library development. Libraries will need to adapt to changing needs and
interests and meet people's expectations for learning, information and
community facilities, resources with skilled staff support.
