Has anyone experienced any musculo skeletal problems with people using pen tablets. Our Sales Reps are moving from a cumbersome briefcase filled with various bits of paper that they need to use at calls, and hand writing in a clipboard position as they merchandise, to being supplied with a Pen Tablet which although weighs 4kgs is not as heavy or as big as the brief case.
One woman (who has a pre-existing back problem and who has trialled the new system) has stated that since using it her back condition has worsened, and also that her chiropractor will back this statement.
We have done the risk assessments and although it is not ideal (we would prefer that each shop has a place to sit and work at to input data) we feel that the new system is far better than the old one.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
